Styleframes for the HBO Year Ending Trailer - Ignition Creative asked me to create styleframes and animations for HBOs upcoming Year Ender, including lower thirds and transition elements to blend the different footage. They provided stills and some font selections, which I combined with my own creations, all of them in a true 3D environment rendered with V-Ray and Krakatoa. This is what I came up with. 2 of my themes were presented to HBO in a pdf with 4 other inhouse designer themes, of which they chose my "Bubble and Flower" theme, and later switched to the smooth stripes as seen below. It was around 5 days work to create all the frames and first animation tests.

An exploration into superflow fluid dynamics
These images are dedicated to Walter Russell, a man who presented theories on the "fundamental principles of energy dynamics," the nature of the universe and the progression of the evolution of matter.
IDEA: Use superflow particles to influence a fluid simulation, see what happens?
WORKFLOW: Superflow particles from 3ds Max were used to drive the NAIAD fluid simulation, which was then reimported and rendered with Krakatoa.

I had the chance of designing a pitch for L'Oreal when I was working for the Spatial Harmonics Group. The director's wish was for a hybrid between fluid, fabric and gas, a spectacular piece of fluid animation. I created this gasesous fluid fabric with 3d Studio Max, FumeFX and Krakatoa, compositing in AfterEffects.
